COFCO was rewarded Grade A in the performance evalssuation made by SASAC for the year 2010. It is the forth consecutive year for COFCO to get this honor. There were 47 SOEs rewarded Grade A, accounting for 38.84% of the total.
Last year was the first year for SOEs to be evalssuated on the bsis of added economic value (EVA). Against the backdrop of international financial crisis, SOEs fought to make greater efforts in corporate governance, market expansion and resource mobilization, and profits were maximized. SOEs created RMB 388.71 billion of EVA that year, 1.4 times that of the year 2009.
